A comprehensive and interactive mathematics encyclopedia.
The Encyclopedia of Astrobiology, Astronomy, and Spaceflight
An extensive online encyclopedia covering all things astronomical.
General Chemistry Online
Starting point for all things chemical. A very good frequently asked
questions area, a library of common compounds and more.
Earth Science World
Photos, climate data, geological information, careers and listings of
books. Provided by the American Geological Institute.
Kimball's Biology Pages
An online version of John W. Kimball's <em>Biology</em> textbook, the
first edition of which was published in 1965.
Animal Diversity Web
An online database of animal natural history, distribution,
classification and conservation biology, compiled by the University of
Michigan Museum of Zoology from students' species accounts.
The Paleontology Portal
A resource for anyone interested in paleontology, professional,
amateur or student.
eNature
Online field guides for animals, plants and seashells. Also:
information on birding and national parks, plus a frequently asked
questions area. From the National Wildlife Foundation.
Don't forget the resources you can only get through the library: The
Facts on File Reference Database Center provides excellent science
information through its Science Online database. The Reference Suite
from Facts on File has a regularly updated Science News section with
