Yahoo! Music
Yahoo! has put together an all-purpose music site. You can read music news and watch new videos. This is a popular site for online radio stations since you can choose a station by genre (rock, jazz, classical, etc.) or theme (top 10, holiday, oldies, etc.)

Billboard
The official site of Billboard, the company that creates the popular Top 100 and other genre specific music lists each week. While not all their lists are available for free, you can see the top 50 singles by airtime in the United States, among others.

MTV Music Television
Popular music, music news clips and videos can be streamed from this site. You can also listen to a variety of e-radio stations and get buzz on the latest movies, games and style.

All Music Guide
You have to register to get the most out of this site, but registration is free. You can search for music in numerous including: genre, style, timeline, theme, country, instrument and mood.

Music.com
Music.com is another site which requires registration. All ratings and reviews are written by people who have registered. The site keeps track of your preferences and will make suggestions.
