The Somerset County Library System only accepts and retains applications and resumes for positions that are currently open and posted on this website. Applications are retained for three months before becoming inactive. Candidates may be asked to resubmit applications if any information on the application has changed or additional information is required.
Open positions are placed on the website as they become available and are generally posted for five to seven days. All positions are year round; SCLS does not have seasonal job opportunities.
Due to the large volume of applications and resumes that are received, SCLS will not acknowledge applications that are received other than those sent via email. Applications received through our email address will receive an automated acknowledgement of receipt.
Additionally, due to limited staffing, the Human Resources Department will not respond to phone or email inquiries regarding the status of applications that were submitted for open positions. Candidates who are selected for interviews will be contacted by the Human Resources Department.
